Michael Bilton, MPP, is a Vice President at Verité. His responsibilities include leading and participating in community health needs assessment projects, developing associated implementation strategies, and designing optimal community benefit program infrastructures and policies. Mr. Bilton co-founded and for ten years led the Association for Community Health Improvement (ACHI), a personal membership group of the American Hospital Association (AHA) that is a leading resource for hospital-based community health and community benefit staff. In a 14-year career at the AHA, he also served as Director of Community Health Programs and Vice President of Education for the Health Research & Educational Trust, directed a CDC-funded youth obesity project, and created the online Community Health Assessment Toolkit. Mr. Bilton also directed a national healthy communities project at the Healthcare Forum in San Francisco and an ambulatory care safety net initiative for the Chicago Department of Public Health, Cook County Bureau of Health Services, and Illinois Primary Health Care Association.
He holds a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in health administration and policy from the University of Chicago, and a BA in Sociology from Rutgers College.
